Not every fire department has ideal opening conditions. Some are exceptionally wide or tall where others might have low headroom or an obstruction positioned in a difficult spot. One condition in particular can be difficult to overcome; sloped or uneven thresholds.
A sloped opening severely limits the options available with regard to fire department garage doors. Overhead doors, in general, require an even threshold. Without one, the door can bow and sag – voiding the warranty and causing damage.
This was the reason we introduced the option for sloped bottom fire department doors. By incorporating a sloping bar or section at the bottom of our doors to match the threshold, Arm-R-Lite is able to provide doors that will retain their 20 year welded frame warranty without any gaps under the door.
If you’re current project is suffering from a sloped threshold and are interested in our fire department garage doors, please contact us.
